Batteries that have lithium as their anode are known as Lithium batteries. Lithium batteries can be divided into three on the basis of the technology used in it. They are Lithium-Ion, Lithium Phosphate and Lithium Polymer batteries. Lithium Iron batteries, otherwise known as LiFePo4 batteries are the most advanced one among lithium batteries. Like any other batteries, Li-iron (LiFePo4) batteries consist of components like cathode, anode, electrolyte, separator and current collector. In a Lithium Iron battery,  Lithium Iron Phosphate is the cathode material and a graphite carbon electrode with metallic backing is the anode.

Why LiFePo4 batteries for Inverters?
