Since the beginning of this year, 182 and 210 high-power, large-size modules have gradually become the mainstream of the solar industry, and the matching tracking system can also greatly reduce the overall LCOE of the project, and the product application rate has been greatly improved. However, the adaptation of high-power modules also places more stringent requirements on the tracking system. Therefore, only by adopting more rigorous wind tunnel experiments to ensure system stability, can it truly achieve higher effects with high-power modules.

 

The world's wind tunnel experimental research on photovoltaic stents is developing rapidly, and the wind tunnel experimental technology and application can be roughly divided into five levels, including:

1. Static experiment stage

2. Dynamic experimental stage

3. CFD stability experiment stage

4. Aeroelasticity experiment stage

5. AeroPlus stage.

 

Among them, the wind tunnel experiments of the first and second phases only consider the calculation of the strength of the support, the third and fourth phases of the experiments take into account the stability problem, and the AeroPlus phase is an experiment that combines strength and stability.

 

At present, most tracker manufacturers in the world only conduct the first and second phases of wind tunnel experiments, and only a few tracker manufacturers will conduct the third phase of experiments, and the rest basically stop at the fourth phase of wind tunnel experiments. ARCTECH has successfully carried out the fifth phase of the wind tunnel experiment, which is one of the few in the global market. The ARCTECH wind tunnel laboratory, which has just been completed, can also meet its AeroPlus stage wind tunnel experiments.

 

Through wind tunnel experiments, ARCTECH has obtained a series of wind engineering design coefficients required for the research and development of photovoltaic stents, established the company’s internal core technology database, and provided valuable basic design parameters for the company’s stent products and BIPV solutions to guide products R&D and product structure design verification. At the same time, we adopt the form of R&D and design combining the theoretical calculation of photovoltaic support structure simulation and wind tunnel test verification, which greatly improves the research and development efficiency of photovoltaic support products and ensures the safety, reliability and stability of the photovoltaic support design.
